Over the weekend I was able to go visit the ever so cool infamous thrift shop called the Garment District. I had heard sooo many great things about this store and so I wanted to go check it out myself.
As I first walked into the store I fell in love with how characteristic this place was. You could tell that this place carried so much history with each piece of clothing. Clothing can tell stories and express certain things that words can’t and I find that so beautiful!!
The first floor had a costume section and on the other side was a pile (mountains) of clothes on the floor which was the 2 dollars per pound section which was awesome!! Even though the piles of clothes gave me a little anxiety i loosened up and decided to go explore. Which was a great Idea because I fell in love with this coat that I ended up buying for $2.64… what a great deal right?!?
I am wearing the coat in this photo, you can’t really see the details of my coat but I will try and do an OOTD post with this coat.
I had a great time playing “dress up” as well. There were many things that were so much fun to try on but I would never wear on a regular day.
They had sections that were labeled 70’s & 80’s sweaters and womens vintage clothing which was so much fun to see!
Thanks for a great time Garment District, I will definitely be going back again soon…
Do you guys enjoy going thrifting if so what are some of your favorite thrift shops finds?!
Let me know!
with so much love,
