I decided to go to LA for a couple days to get away from New York and also visit a very close friend of mine. Here are a few photos of my trip/places I recommend for you to go ♡ For all you foodies, this one is here for you. I went a bit wild with the food this time. hehe

Melrose Trading Post ♡

Meet one of my closest friends Victoria ♡ She is currently living in LA and I am so happy I got to visit her and have her show me around. Thank you for everything Vic, love u.

The Melrose Trading Post is like the LA version of the Brooklyn Flea Market (but better).

I bought the shades I am wearing in the photo at The Melrose Trading Post. Aren’t they so cute? 🙂

They had the cutest little stands/tents. Look at this cute little van too ♡ I enjoy going to flea markets and I think The Melrose Trading Post is one of my favorite flea markets I have been too.

Gracias Madre ♡

Vic took me to the cutest Organic/Vegan Mexican restaurant called Gracias Madre. Which is the sister restaurant of Cafe Gratitude (which I didn’t get the chance to go to this time).

I had a yummy Michelada 😛

Gracias Madre serves farm fresh, locally sourced, organic and vegan food. If you have the chance to go, you gotta go 🙂

Malibu♡

I have never had the chance to visit Malibu!! So happy I got to visit this time. It was such a peaceful, quiet place.

Happy I got to spend time by the beach ♡

62069683_617780112062354_1446396117431353344_n.jpg

For those of you who saw my instagram story saw that I was looking for the Grace & Frankie house there. I was never able to find it 😦 but apparently the house is located in Malibu. If you are able to go and find it, let me know! 🙂

Little Tokyo♡

Little Tokyo is such a fun place to go to for yummy Japanese food and also for Japanese snacks, face masks and more 😀

Here are two restaurants we went to, I recommend both. 😀

Chinchikurin (Okonomiyaki/Takoyaki)

61843339_2442676339293627_6059182759883046912_n

Marugame Monzo (Udon)

61665178_418911562282256_7787533326994112512_n.jpg

I decided to be a little adventurous and I tried the udon carbonaro (a combination of Japanese and Italian food). I guess if I were a food i’d be udon carbonara….? lol I wouldn’t mind 😛 It was sooo good. I know it sounds weird but it was sooo creamy and full of flavor.

For the other half of my trip I stayed with my friends Aaron and Eilidh and they were kind enough to show us around and drive us around. Unfortunately, we only took this photo of us together. Thank you for everything Aaron and Eilidh!!

Runyon Canyon♡

61780419_2279417765482541_1232184464629563392_n

I have always wanted to go to Runyon Canyon. Yes, this is the very famous hiking spot where you can spot lots of celebrities. (No we didn’t see any this time lol).

Runyon is such a beautiful place to go to get a little exercise in. LA is great because you are still in a city but can be immersed in nature in just a few minutes.

Also, if you are looking for a place to get a good view of LA…Runyon is the place 🙂

My Little Dumpling ♡

61659950_1092076337659521_3013450454756491264_n

Vic took me to the cutest Dim Sum Restaurant. The photos speak for itself.

62048713_421574665363477_8511588092098904064_n

This is the perfect place to go for an intimate dinner with drinks and plates to share with friends.

61749797_322440108672408_7556467324874653696_n.jpg

We later had gelato at Gelateria Uli, it is walking distance from My Little Dumpling. So if you are looking for a good gelateria with unique flavors this is the place to go. I had the thai iced tea and lavender.

I met with so many other friends that I didn’t get to take any photos with or of 😦

During this trip I felt really loved and made so many great memories.

Thankful for life, my friends, for Peri Chan, for being able to travel, to make new experiences and also for you. Thank you for reading this blog post all the way through.♡

What places do you recommend I go the next time I am in LA?

Let me know 🙂

With lots and lots and lots of love,

Nara, Japan ♡

Screen Shot 2018-02-01 at 9.27.09 PM.png

As some of you may know, my grandma is from a city called Nara, Japan. During our visit to Japan we spent Christmas and New Years with my obaachan (grandma) in Nara.

I am posting this a year later (I don’t know why it took me a whole year to post this). I am not sure if anyone will see this post but I like looking back at my blog to see what I did and have done. It is a nice travel diary. I should start posting more 🙂

Fun Fact: Nara is the oldest city in Japan.

Another Fun Fact: Nara is also known for their famous deer park.

The deer are really calm, they bow to you, they let them pet you and you can feed them little snacks that you can purchase there.

It’s always fun to go to the Deer Park also known as Nara koen (koen means park in Japanese). I have been going to this park all my life.

Please see old photos of me at Nara Koen below:

My outfit was very interesting! haha I am not sure what was going on there

白骨温泉 (Shirahone Onsen)

50280428_349468269117980_3554040993118420992_n.jpg

My obaachan (grandma) took us to an onsen town called  Shirahone Onsen which is in the mountains in Japan so there was lots of snow. (Onsen means hot springs in Japanese).

It was such a new experience for me, to be in an onsen outdoor in the middle of the mountains while it was snowing. To have shared this weekend with my family and my grandmother was so wonderful.

The hotel we stayed at was so beautiful, I took a photo of these lights because I thought they were cool hahaIMG_5265

In hotels in Japan it is common for them to give you this yukata attire.

We later visited a town near Shirahone Onsen:

わかやま (Wakayama)

49735097_488873828304030_5050129560041947136_n.jpg

We went to a town called Wakayama, in Wakayama there is an umeboshi factory (pickled plum) which is my favorite thing in the world so my family brought us to Wakayama. Where we visited a Japanese temple and the umeboshi factory.

IMG_5366

This is my aunt (we also ate amazing ramen)

IMG_5367

Then we went to the umeboshi factory.IMG_5577IMG_5384

Later we went to eat kaiten zushi (which is sushi with the rotator belt)

New Years (The Year of the Dog)

IMG_5553

In 2018, it was the year of the Dog ( funny enough the year that I was born was also the year of the dog and my grandfather who passed away was also born during the year of the dog).

In Japan during the first day of the year we go to the Jinja (temple) to pray for good things for the year to come.

IMG_5545IMG_5561

At the very bottom of the temple there was a huge fire place!

IMG_5566

Later that night we made sukiyaki which is an amazing Japanese hot pot dish.

Other Photos in Japan:

IMG_5525

My cousin used to work at an okonomiyaki shop so we went to visit him there.

IMG_5530

He made us these amazing Okonomiyakis.

My brother and I went to Universal Studios Osaka, we usually try to go every time we are in Japan. We always have the best time. I didn’t take too many photos but here a few:
