I decided to go to LA for a couple days to get away from New York and also visit a very close friend of mine. Here are a few photos of my trip/places I recommend for you to go β™‘ For all you foodies, this one is here for you. I went a bit wild with the food this time. hehe

Melrose Trading Post β™‘

Meet one of my closest friends Victoria β™‘ She is currently living in LA and I am so happy I got to visit her and have her show me around. Thank you for everything Vic, love u.

The Melrose Trading Post is like the LA version of the Brooklyn Flea Market (but better).

I bought the shades I am wearing in the photo at The Melrose Trading Post. Aren’t they so cute? πŸ™‚

They had the cutest little stands/tents. Look at this cute little van too β™‘ I enjoy going to flea markets and I think The Melrose Trading Post is one of my favorite flea markets I have been too.

Gracias Madre β™‘

Vic took me to the cutest Organic/Vegan Mexican restaurant called Gracias Madre. Which is the sister restaurant of Cafe Gratitude (which I didn’t get the chance to go to this time).

Gracias Madre serves farm fresh, locally sourced, organic and vegan food. If you have the chance to go, you gotta go πŸ™‚

Malibuβ™‘

I have never had the chance to visit Malibu!! So happy I got to visit this time. It was such a peaceful, quiet place.

Happy I got to spend time by the beach β™‘

For those of you who saw my instagram story saw that I was looking for the Grace & Frankie house there. I was never able to find it 😦 but apparently the house is located in Malibu. If you are able to go and find it, let me know! πŸ™‚

Little Tokyoβ™‘

Little Tokyo is such a fun place to go to for yummy Japanese food and also for Japanese snacks, face masks and more πŸ˜€

Here are two restaurants we went to, I recommend both. πŸ˜€

Chinchikurin (Okonomiyaki/Takoyaki)

Marugame Monzo (Udon)

I decided to be a little adventurous and I tried the udon carbonaro (a combination of Japanese and Italian food). I guess if I were a food i’d be udon carbonara….? lol I wouldn’t mind πŸ˜› It was sooo good. I know it sounds weird but it was sooo creamy and full of flavor.

For the other half of my trip I stayed with my friends Aaron and Eilidh and they were kind enough to show us around and drive us around. Unfortunately, we only took this photo of us together. Thank you for everything Aaron and Eilidh!!

Runyon Canyonβ™‘

I have always wanted to go to Runyon Canyon. Yes, this is the very famous hiking spot where you can spot lots of celebrities. (No we didn’t see any this time lol).

Runyon is such a beautiful place to go to get a little exercise in. LA is great because you are still in a city but can be immersed in nature in just a few minutes.

Also, if you are looking for a place to get a good view of LA…Runyon is the place πŸ™‚

My Little Dumpling β™‘

61659950_1092076337659521_3013450454756491264_n

Vic took me to the cutest Dim Sum Restaurant. The photos speak for itself.

62048713_421574665363477_8511588092098904064_n

This is the perfect place to go for an intimate dinner with drinks and plates to share with friends.

61749797_322440108672408_7556467324874653696_n.jpg

We later had gelato at Gelateria Uli, it is walking distance from My Little Dumpling. So if you are looking for a good gelateria with unique flavors this is the place to go. I had the thai iced tea and lavender.

I met with so many other friends that I didn’t get to take any photos with or of 😦

During this trip I felt really loved and made so many great memories.

Thankful for life, my friends, for Peri Chan, for being able to travel, to make new experiences and also for you. Thank you for reading this blog post all the way through.β™‘

Β What places do you recommend I go the next time I am in LA?

Let me know πŸ™‚

With lots and lots and lots of love,

My Favorite Places in Brooklyn, NY (So Far) β™‘

As many of you know, I have been living in New York now for about 9-10 months now.

Although I do not feel like a New Yorker, I definitely have been finding cute restaurants, stores and cafes that I’d like to share with you all today.Β  You will probably see me hanging out at some of these places πŸ™‚ hehe

Devocion56917970_805267793188264_635414907927396352_n.jpg

Devocion, is a Colombian cafe. They have a few locations but a really close friend of mine is a coffee educator at the Williamsburg location so I like to work here often. I find this cafe really nice to work in because of the natural light and the beautiful green plant is nice especially when you’re living in a city.

Since I work from home, I have the luxury of working in spaces like this during the day πŸ™‚

56760729_522061111656080_7180783185419042816_n.jpg

You can also find me hanging out here with my friend Laura πŸ˜›

Come here for good coffee and friendly people β™‘

Carthage Must Be Destroyed56702335_1047229068795624_3156988579616391168_n.jpg

Carthage Must Be Destroyed is an Australian brunch place located in a warehouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn. All their ingredients are organic and fresh. Not only is the food great here but the decor is amazing too. Especially if you like all things pink πŸ˜‰

They have a rule where you can only take photos of your food and not of yourselves. Which I think is a great rule πŸ˜› Taking photos are always fun but learning how to be aware and present in your environment is important too.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Shop56874348_407805146437788_6744275729162174464_n.jpg

Van Leeuwen is a New York based artisan ice cream shop. They have classic and vegan flavors. If you’re ever walking around New York and you spot a Van Leeuwen’s do yourself a favor and get some ice cream… and if you’re feeling adventurous get the ice cream cookie πŸ˜› They have yummy flavors like their early gray ice cream and if you’re going for a good dairy free flavor I really enjoyed their chocolate vegan ice cream. πŸ˜€ (Seriously, everything I have tried here so far has been great)

Healhaus56510911_2233225560272972_2296732743628750848_n.jpg

56576544_329995064535353_8345825783519903744_n.jpg

If you’re looking for an inexpensive studio to do some yoga in Brooklyn, Healhaus has a $20 new comer rate for one week of unlimited yoga. They also do meditation classes, workshops and have a wellness cafe. I came here one time and I really enjoyed the yoga class I took here.

Package Free Store

56971013_1250177211803877_783055538303795200_n.jpg

The Package Free store is a zero waste retail store selling products from stainless steel straws to bamboo tooth brushes to diva cups! My friend Laura introduced me to this shop. She is very conscious and aware of reducing waste and living more of a eco friendly lifestyle. I am learning a lot from her. I never realized how much we really do waste and use plastic in our daily lives. Even if it’s little steps (I am still learning too) we can make small steps into implementing an eco friendly lifestyle.

These are a few of my favorite places. I will definitely be updating and reposting this as I know I will keep discovering new places. Let me know if you’d like to see this version of places I enjoy going to in the city.

Thank you so much for reading. Hope you can discover and check out these places too!

Let me know if you have any suggestions of places I should check out πŸ™‚

With love,
